Prior to breeding:
Cows - Bovishield Gold5 VL5HB ** Don't use Bovishield on pregnant cows unless this has been used on them prior to breeding.
Calves-about 1- 3 months old – Same time as cow vax
· Bovi-Shield Gold FP 5
· Ultrachoice 7 or One Shot Ultra 7
Maxiguard Pinkeye
· Deworm calves w/ with Dectomax or Ivomec injectable
· Fly tags if used
ID tags/EID
Cows for vaccination - some pregnant, some open:
Vaccinate the cows / breeding heifers with Cattlemaster Gold5 VL5HB. This needs to be boostered if this is the first exposure. Once vaccinated / boostered then the vaccine can be used once a year.
Mid Summer
Deworm with Ivermectin or Dectomax Pour - on ---or use injectable and use Saber for fly control. Booster Blackleg.
3-5 Weeks Before Weaning
Maxiguard Pinkeye
· Bovi-Shield Gold 5
· One Shot Ultra 7
· Injectable or Pour On dewormer such as Dectomax or Agri-mectin
Vaccinate for Brucellosis with RB51 (Replacements 4-12 months)
Weaning - treat cows w/ pour-on dewormer - Generic Ivermectin, Dectomax or Cydectin - Lice control
Vaccinate cows w/ clostridial vaccine
Vaccinate cows w/ Scourguard 4KC *** Booster Heifers and cows getting Scourguard for the first time***
At Weaning- Replacement Heifers & Calves being Preconditioned or Stockered
· Bovi-Shield Gold 5
· Ultrachoice 7
TSV2 if stressed / from sale yard
· Spirovac VL5 (if replacement heifer or bull)
Yearling Replacement Heifer Option, 60 days before start of Breeding Season
